Born in sunny Bolton, I was carefully hand-reared in a small village. My schooling quickly passed, each day getting older and infrequently wiser, and I did as little as possible - for 18 years.

Entry to ‘the real world’ was delayed by something called "University", in Leeds [UK]. What did that achieve? A photograph of me holding a scroll wearing a cloak and a silly hat. Great. Through no fault of my own, I'd been handed a degree certificate in Civil Engineering with Architecture.

To put my engineering skills to use I decided to become a journalist, studying a postgraduate course in radio and television journalism. You see, I had a dream. In fact I had dreams - plural.

That's why I currently reside in the capital - London. Where I spend my time enjoyably working, playing, eating and sleeping.

As a BBC London sports journalist I undertake many different jobs. I now produce 4 of the 7 weekly sports shows and present the station's rugby league coverage. My other duties cover reporting, script writing and bulletin reading. My role also involves audio production, programme imaging, creative production and technical operating.

I am BBC London 94.9's rugby league reporter, comentating on Harlequins RL's Super League games and writing for the match-day programme.

I now present a number of music radio programmes on Off The Chart Radio.

I spent six months producing a variety of television and radio items for The Press Association Broadcasting, after four years studio-producing output for BBC Radio Leeds' “West Yorkshire Sport”.

I have presented, as a DJ, on a number of hospital, internet and student radio stations. I have presention, gallery and studio floor experience of a live television programme. I am also a competent camera operator and have written sports reports for the 'Leeds Student' newspaper.
